You don't have to look on the Internet for find a duplex for sale. I don't know what your intentions are for this duplex, but if it is for your personal use as well as a rental then you can call your local real estate agents for this information.
You need not sign up with anyone just tell them you are looking for a duplex to find. If they insist on you signing up to be your buyer's agent tell them that the first person I find to sell me a duplex in the area I am looking I will buy, but I am not gonna be tied down to one agent where I have to pay a commission to even if I find a property myself.
You might also look in the local paper under income property for a duplex. Some are placed there by real estate agents and others by private sellers. If you find one represented by a real estate agent and it is in the area where you want to buy it is ok because the seller will pay them.
There are a few throw away magazines that also list property for sale.

It would help to know what area of the world you are in but try this one. http://realtor.com/ other good sources are http://www.loopnet.com and of course craigslist and backpage.
Loopnet is a resource for investment real estate and it is used by investors, sellers, agents and brokers to list income property.
