Are PS3 gmaes okay to play on the PS2?

I need to know because I accidentaly bought a PS3 version of Call of Duty 3 and I only have a PS2.

The PS3 games will not play on your PS2. The PS2 games will play on the PS3. Most of them at least.

Sorry, won't work that way. Two totally different hardware formats. Take the game back, get it exchanged.
