Ok so like, it's a small 2.16 pound eye roast and everyone is telling me totally different things!

Do I cook it at 325, 350, or 400?

Some people are telling me 15 minutes a pound, others are saying 30 minutes, and still others 1 hour.

Cooking blows, the moral of the story is never cook anything

Oh gosh, it's really not as had as everyone makes it seem. First just relax. I cook at least 3 roast a month. Your going to cook it at 350 till you reach an internal temp of 150 for rare, 160 for med, med well 165, and well 170. It help to have a meat thermometer. It takes the guess work out of roasting meats.

Trust me you can cook almost anything at 350 that why most ovens are preset at 350(digital display).Check it every once in a while .Cook until it is not pink in the center but not longer .You could add some beef bouillon and baste it when you check it too .

oh wow, please slow down and enjoy life. Cooking is suppose to be enjoyable, I Love to cook. First, do you own a crock pot (slow cooker)? It's o.k either way, if you don't we can cook the roast in the oven. Either way, its simple. First go to store, spice aisle, roast seasoning with cooking bag. You'll need potatoes, carrots, onion. Go home, follow simple instructions on seasoning bag for cooking in oven. If cooking in slow cooker, follow instructions on seasoning package, cook on high in slow cooker for about five or six hours, go shopping, take a nap, don't worry, it's basically impossible to burn a roast in a crock pot. Roast will be tender and very tasty.

I used 325 degrees. If the bone is still in go 20 minutes a pound or 10 for boneless. If you have a meat thermometer 140 degrees is medium and 125 is rare.

Bake it on 350* covered for 3 hours. (Halfway through the baking, after 1 1/2 hours turn it over and then turn it over again 1 hour later at 2 1/2 hours.) The trick to slicing it perfectly is to refrigerate it and slice it when it's cold. Good luck!

I love cooking and usually do my rump roasts at 250 for 5 hours, my eye roasts at 250 for 4 hours. It gets them flavorful and tender.
