you shouldn't be giving him baby formula. he needs puppy or kitten replacement formula. regular baby formula isn't nutritious enough. it's better than regular milk, but you still need to get him the replacement formula. you can get it at wal-mart or your local vet's office (it's cheaper @ wal-mart). you can buy it in liquid or powder form. it's better to buy the powder because you get more for the price. also keep him warm. he needs his own little blanket. small, short haired dogs stay cold, especially in the winter.

hope this helps.

you will need to start weaning your chihuahua from formula at about 6-8 weeks. If you are going to start him on dry food then buy puppy food such as Purina Puppy Chow. Put it in warm formula to soften it when the puppy is about 6 weeks. Or you can start when he is 5 weeks. Gradually stop softening it in the formula and offer it to him dry. Or you can start him on canned food but still make sure it is for puppies. you will need to keep him on puppy food until he is at least 1 yr old

I'm not so sure formula meets all his needs. Did you check with a Vet? You are going to have to ween him early, probably six weeks. You really need to see a Veterinarian.
