Well.........I don't think so
I have read Philosophy a bit, it is sometimes too passive or too different from the real world, unless you are mature enough, otherwise, reading philosophy for young people can be too much.
of course there are many smart young people who read philosophy, I don't know how it affects his mental status, and his way of seeing life. At least for me when I was young, especailly in ddifficult time, it could drag you into very negative thoughts, or passive thought.
For young people, I recoomend you take long trip, to Europe, or Asia, there is where you find some thing different in life, and this would be more postive results, it will help to develop your mind, and open your eyes.

Take some psychology and philosophy classes or read some books on it. That would be a good place to begin to look at yourself. I am thinking that you are a young person? Just experiencing life will give you the stuff you need for self examination.
Good luck. And be gentle with yourself.

I am so what am I
I do not shine nor have glitter,
I was told a diamond in the raw,
True I have not been shaped,
Nor have been polished,
The quest is who am I?
Du I live or do Ijust standup on the ground?
How did I come to be?
Or what was it meant tobe?
This I must consider,
Before Ican finf the truth,
So I must stand and think,
I live and love,
And now I know,
I can give life, and give love,
That changes things a little
I AM LOVE, THAT LIVES,

You can find out who you are by losing yourself in the lives of others. You will have your eyes, ears, mind, and heart opened as you assist the poor, the sick, the dying, the mourning, the young, the hopeless, and other humankind in need. You will feel, learn, experience and understand real life and real situations of all types that you just can't get from reading philosophy.

I would guess you are probably young. Knowing who you are comes with age and experience. The main thing is to be true to yourself. It's hard when you're young because you are so concerned about what people think. You worry about whether they will like you are not, which causes you to put forth the self you think they want to see, not your true self. The reality is you are only guessing at what they want. You can't please everyone. Self-esteem is very important. I think the four steps to that are knowing yourself, accepting yourself (with your faults), liking yourself, and loving yourself. Loving yourself frees you of self-doubt and allows you to reach out to others -- to love others. Everyone goes through this. Just do your best and be your best, and you will evolve into a person you can be proud of. Best wishes on your journey.

It is my conviction that you are a human being and therefore a created being. The Creator is the Source for knowing yourself. Silence is the milieu in which to hear the Creator in your own being reveal to you who you are. Do all things required of you in your state of life. In the remaining time re-create in silence. No venal and useless endeavors. Be careful what you eat and discipline your thought life. Then the dawn will shine. This is my hope also for the New Year. Let's do it! Let's let IT be done to us!

Start asking yourself questions! Start with "why am I doing soul searching" and then generate more questions from your answers. Never stop asking "why"?
You are the only one who has the answers - Dont seek them outside yourself -and dont expect anyone else to give you the questions either!

The simplest way is to be honest with yourself. Look at your relationships OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, WRITE THEM DOWN, WHAT WAS GOOD WHAT WAS BAD WHY DID IT END.
Sorry didn't mean to hit caps.
Look within yourself and you will find the answer.

Philosophy is just language with all its inherent pitfalls. Try quieting your mind (meditation?) and "listen" to the wisdom embedded within your own being, or, let's say, open yourself to the wisdom you share with all sentient beings.
