I got together with friends and we cried. We talked and eventually we were ok. It took time and I wish you well.

Wow. I'm sorry, I have no experience here. If he died, I'd probably end up being in total denial at first. It's how I am when anyone I love dies. Then, I'd cry and try to find myself in music. Depending on how he died, I'd probably try to create a group for people who lost some one in that way too.
I still don't think the sun would shine the same. I guess that's just what I'd expect I'd do. I NEVER want to go through it though. But, everyone dies at some point.

besides the obvious, attends the funural, say some words and wish him/her a good journey to the other side.

DEpends on the person, cry, listen to music, eat your favourite food, sleep a lot.

If mine died, I'd drink a beer and hang out with all our mutual friends.

Find comfort in the memories...I know it's hard but you will survive!! God doesn't ever give us more pain then he thinks we can handle....Get together with other close friends and reminise on old times...Don't be afaid to cry scream just don't withdraw yourself from the world, find someone to talk to...talking about your feelings always helps....Good luck sweetie sorry about you loss

Oh my goodness did your friend die? If so that's terrible and I'm sorry it happened. If your best friend died you should for one never replace them. Best friends are special and should never be replaced by someone else.

It is a learning experience. I lost a very close girlfriend recently and we were practically married. I even told my Dad that he had no idea what it was like because even he had not lost my Mom. Until you experience it you will not know.

You think of all of the fond memories the two of you shared. That friend will always be in your heart.
