No, I don't think women are deceiving us by wearing makeup. But I do think most way, way over-do it, and frankly most of the effort is wasted.
I know for myself, and the vast majority of the guys I know -- we prefer women who wear very little or no makeup. The natural look is *always* better. Frankly, when women wear a ton of makeup, we mostly think they look cheap and gaudy, and aren't happy with themselves or the way they look naturally.
You don't have to wear a bunch of makeup to get a guy -- honestly, most of us would be happier if you wore practically none at all. Really. I'm quite serious.

I think wearing too much makeup is deceptive because the end result is not how you really look. You truly have a 'caked-on' mask.
Now natural-looking make-up is another thing. If you are using just enough to even out blotches or unevenly toned skin and not too much on the eyes then what he see is basically what he is getting.
But somewhere in the beginning of the relationship, allow him to see you with no makeup on so he can see you au natural!! Then he will know what you actually look like and what you can look like.
Its okay to make yourself look 'alive'.

It depends on how much girls put on their face. Just use colors that are flattering for you, not too overdone. Do it sparingly and it wont deceive anybody. Dont try to hide everything. Focus on your good features and just bring them out. You can only cover it up for so long before everything comes out in the open.

Definitley not. Many women use it to enhance their own natural beauty. Also, if men can't see past women's looks, he definitley needs to move on.

it's a great marketing ploy to make women think they need this, even though they do not.
