im 11.My mom says that after I have my first period, (which I have already, about a week ago) I will begin to lose about 2 or 3 pounds. Is that true?
Also,im only 5'2 now,but my doctor predicted my final height was going to be 5'7 or 5'8,but it says that girls will rarely grow 2 inches after their first period.

I think it's common for a person's weight to change at puberty, but it's not a guarantee that you will either gain or lose.
As for the height thing, I'd say your doctor probably gave you a good prediction. Doctors are aware that adolescents have periods.

every person is different. your body is changing and the hormone levels help determine your body weight. it you eat right, exercise, and get enough rest you will probably lose some weight but you didnt say how much you weigh now. your weight will go up and down throughout your life. take care of yourself and you can usually keep it at a comfortable level for your body.
