This is very normal.. What you need to do is give her the solids no matter what first... She'll get used to it...

To start with, try bringing meal time forward 1/2 an hour, so that baby is not too hungry to deal with something new. You can start to separate the solids and the milk as baby takes more food, pushing the milk backa little as and when you can. You aim to have food for lunch and milk for a mid afternoon snack

No, I would not feed milk with every meal. My two girls at 6 months were having breakfast mixed with normal milk, then water or juice if thirsty later. Dinner with juice or water. Tea with about the same to drink and then finally at bed time having a full 9 ounze bottle (settles them for a good night). Hope that helps.

At 6 months she should be having cereal, fruits, veggies, and some protein. I wouldn't give her the bottle or tippee cup of milk until she's eaten her meal. As long as she gets a full feeling from a bottle, she won't eat anything else. But she needs the other nutrients in her diet.

No, you shouldn't feed her milk with every meal. You should start giving her a little bit of water with her meals. You should start solids slowly and when he/she is in a good mood. Don't wait 'til she is starving, becuase she probably won't eat. Start with something simple, like cereal once a day, every day. Be persistent, but patient. Eventually, she will get the hang of it.

At 6 months, my kids were only getting milk as a night time feed. They had breakfast - which would be mixed with milk, their diner then tea, with baby juices or water. Then a full bottle milk before bed.

hi, at 6 months your baby should be on about 4 bottles of 7oz a day,
try not to give a bottle at the same time as a solid meal. alternate them.
this worked for me.

yeah, but give bottle then solids then bottle,so that she has a few spoonfuls in the middle of her bottle feed. you should be trying to wean her off the bottle and getting her used to a cup. it's alot for the poor little thing to take all at once so go easy and try not to get uptight about it it'll all come together eventually. government guidelines are exactly that, guidelines. good luck

How about trying baby rice? Part milk part solids. Its a good way to wean onto solids. My best friend used it when my godsons were at this stage, it worked wonders and they are now healthy 8, 9 and 11 year olds.

Don't feed her milk with her solid food just water then when you want to put her down to sleep it will be easier for you in the long run. God bless you both.

try baby porrige, make it nice and sloppy so its easy to swallow, some kids take a while to get used to the texture of food, my daughter would eat nothing but sausages beans and bread and butter, porrige or mashed potato with bovril in it till she was about ten, shes 26 now and into health food in a big way, so dont worry, the main thing is dont make a big deal out of it or every meal will become a battleground, then you get eating disorders, shes only six months after all! give her what she wants for now, get some vitamin drops, that will make up for any shortfall.
