Consult her pediatrician.. Trust me, it's not that hard.. I use Beechnut for my daughter.. I feed her a jar for each meal and than I give her a 5 oz bottle.. She sometimes drinks all the milk and sometimes not.. Use your instinct too.. Good luck to you....

I started my kids on mild fruit - pears mostly. Then I added Barley cereal - it's a lot easier to digest than the other cereals about 3-4 days later. The idea is that if you introduce foods slowly and 1 at a time, then you will notice if they have an allergy to anything and will have an easier time pinpointing what they are allergic to.
Apples and apple juice can be very acidic - so you don't want to give too much of that (and if you notice diaper rash after apple juice, stop it or add a lot more water to it. Bananas can also be kind of binding, so stay away from that for now. Pear juice and white grape juice (cut with water at first - like 50%) are very mild. Slowly add in the veggies - sweet potatoes, carrots, peas - and you will find that very soon your child wants a bite of your cheeseburger. Go through all the 1st foods in the gerber line before you add meats - and if your baby wants to breast feed too, that's ok (if it's ok with you).
Peace!

Really depends on her age. Some enjoy solids from 4 or 5 months, others like to wait. As long as you are giving safe baby food and topping up with milk I see no problem. However it is always wise to consult an expert. Your mum for instance??? In the UK you should also have a Health Visitor plus the GP will never turn down a visit from a mum and baby. They get paid enough after all!..Good luck to you both.

.start off giving her single tastes like just carrots, or broccoli, spinach, banana's and pears were my boys favourites...they gradually add carbs like potatoes, pasta and cous cous...then a few weeks after some meats like chicken, turkey, minced beef...maybe leave pork and other tougher meats until later. all liquidised up. you can get baby jars. i use them occasionally and use them as a guide to how much he should be eating.
look up what things they shouldn't have like honey, eggs, nuts ect...they're mostly obvious. and go from there.
when she gets to about 7 months you can start leaving some bigger lumps in her food and start introducing finger foods, like rusks (although high in sugar) and rice cakes which you can buy from boots. and anything they can mush between their fingers is safe to give.
try giving finger foods at dinner times so they can keep themselves occupied whilst you eat your dinner. you will know if she's not ready as she won't eat much but perservere as it's all about learning!

Relax, just try her on a little bit of whatever you are eating. Don't introduce too many different foods at once. and carry on breast feeding until she gets fed up with it.

I'm just curious why this question is in the Adolescent category. You should have stopped breastfeeding a long time ago!

Start with fresh veg or fruit, pureed/liquified. Don't use those rubbish baby food jars!
