I was writing to a firend of mines brother when something came up in my life and I pulled away from every one including my own family. It was a ruff time in his life also I was basically all he had and he was in love with me. I really let him down. He says he cannot forgive me for not being there for him but he wants to be friends. I told him I could not b/c it is to hard to be around him every time he wants to come over he looks so hurt. How do I get him back. How do I make things right maybe not us togehter but just make things ok between us. My son loves him and misses him coming and hanging out with him.

Take the time to be friends. You may need to prove to him that you are not gonna walk away again. He sounds insecure and who can blame him, you said yourself that you let him down. Spend time with him, let him know you care enough about him to accept a friendship for now. Maybe once he realizes you aren't going anywhere, he may decide he is willing to give his heart again. If not, you may forge a friendship that will last a lifetime.... those types of friendship are precious and few. Good luck to you and yours. I hope you both find happiness.
As a side note, depending on your son's age, make sure he knows you and this man are just friends. Children become attached very quickly. He may become the best "uncle" your son ever had.
