Do you mean here, as in Y/A or here as in the UK? I think you can see what's going on here, we're all going merrily wishing each other a Happy Christmas... Dunno about central London.

I lived in London many, many years ago. For the most part it's similar to the U.S. (which I am assuming you are from), but there is a greater emphasis on Boxing Day, the day after Christmas. Also, if you are lucky, someone will turn you on to homemade Christmas cake. It's a heavy fruitcake which has been periodically soaked in liquor, add a layer of marzipan, then a layer of stiff sugar frosting and put little characters on it. Cool for the novelty factor, if nothing else (I like fruitcake, so it works for me). Not so very different overall, not as commercial as in the U.S. (at least I didn't find it so), but fun to discover. Enjoy.

Well I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. We don't have many traditions. In New Orleans Christmas is about spending time with your family. Family is the most important part of our Christmas. Then there is our great world famous Creole cuisine. We stuff our face with gumbo (a soup with ingredients like shrimp, crabs, and sausage). We also eat stuffed bell peppers, Cajun turkey, and crawfish pies.

Some folks go to see their families and endure two or three days of hell, whereas me and my mates all get very very drunk and talk about hydrofluoric acid and stuff. You're welcome to join us.
