All I really want for Christmas is to wake up and not see FEMA trailers and debris left by Hurricane Katrina everywhere. I want New Orleans to beautiful again. I already lost most of my material things and I know now that those things don't matter anymore. I realize now that the holidays are about being with the people you love.

I asked my husband for new blinds over the sliding doors, bar stools for the kitchen, or a treadmill and he handed me a piece of paper for a gift certificate to Ebay so I was going to use the money my grandma sent me and he took that. So I'll just ask that every thing I cook for the dinner tomorrow turns out good and nothing goes wrong in the kitchen.

I never really "ask" for anything for myself that's just for me. But if I do get something I know it was because they wanted me to have it.
But something for the world like a cure for AIDS and other diseases would be perfect
