I do it all the time. Metaphorically speaking of course, I always dream with my eyes open and I tend to forget where I am, who I am, so I like to escape in my imagination, where I can find a new world and get a new role.
It's the same as the symbolic meaning of falling down a rabbit hole. It signifies entering that special dream state where you can build your own world and set your own rules.
But we all have to wake up at some point.
