You might want to give them the benefit of doubt, I am an avid ghost hunter and lived in two haunted houses in my life. Chances are that if the whole family believes the house to be haunted, they are more than likely right. They do live there, but if your still in doubt why don't you stay over night with them and take a digital camera with you and take some pictures. Who knows, you might get lucky. But I guess that would depend on how you feel about ghosts.

Oh, come on! You people and your silly ghost beliefs. You have read too many stories, and seen too many movies. There is always a rational explaination for noises in houses. Have you ever asked yourself why these ghostly sounds occur when there is no way to to verify them...hmmmm?
To the person who heard footsteps, you gotta wonder how a wispy spirit entity, that can supposedly go through walls, could make foot stepping noises. I mean, wouldn't that require 2 solid objects knocking against each other.
There is no such thing as ghosts, fairies or unicorns.

It is a good possibility. I know that mine is. I own a two family house. I had to fix the 1st floor apartment bathroom door. I asked my tenants boyfriend to help me bring the door down to the basement so I can work on it. He and I were the only ones in the house yet we could hear a women's foot steps going across the 1st floor apartment floor. I live alone in the 2ND floor apartment and often while in bed it feels like someone is sitting on the bed corner.

My previous house was most certainly haunted, and the one I live in now, is too.
Hauntings are real. Don't stereotype them according to certain "rules". I know it seems impossible, but there are some things in live which people can't explain.
It's your full right to not believe that his house is haunted. It's all up to you.

stay there alone for a few nights.

and constantly make the comment "i do not believe in ghosts"

and keep the lights off, and simply walk the halls with nothing more than a flashlight.

you will learn soon enough if it is haunted.

(i assume no responsibility for your wellbeing durring this experiment,)

yeah, my ex boyfriend's apartment was haunted...when doors are opening and closing in a house and you can hear things and sometimes feel them, you know its haunted. i also have a friend who left her apartment because she knew it was haunted. she would wake up in the middle of the night to running water and find out that her faucetts were actually on and running when she was the only one in her house...a little creepy.

It is very possible that your friends house is haunted. You are not wrong or right because it is your opinion.

Of course it is possible. The question is whether it's true or if the house is merely built on a slant causing things to move about and noises are being heard as a result.
