Of their division although they are only really about three games ahead, the Nets have a team that is much better than most of the teams in the Atlantic division. They can battle it out and win their division and therefore make the playoffs or get a low seed. It is still early in the season and the other teams in the East also battling for playoff spots do not consistently win. The Nets have a very good team with two superstars of Vince Carter and Jason Kidd and I think now that they have been playing together for a while the teamwork will start to improve and the Nets should become very good. Although I don't think that they are title contenders this year I do think that playoffs are a very good start. I think that they are very talented and should make the playoffs this year if they continue playing the way that they are and maybe even step it up a little. The Rockets are coming to town this week and that should be a win because they are missing their two superstars and that can be a win that will help their march to the playoffs.

Either a 4th, 5th, or 6th seed in the east and will be bounced out of in the first round. Now's when they need a defensive center since Nenad Krstic is done for the year.

Sadly, If they don't make any changes the first round of the playoffs is all they can hope for. I really want them to be good but they just can't seem to do it. My only hope this year of they don't turn things around quick is that they do really poorly, trade vince for someone good, get into the lottery and miraculously win the first pick aka Greg Oden

it will be hard this year without krstic, but i think they are still good enough to make the playoffs and if they are 4-5 seed, they should make it to the second round and get eliminated. 6-8 is probably first round exit. but they should have enough to make the playoffs.
