Two years ago, my boyfriend told me I needed to change...everything...and I did. Then he left me and married someone else. So, if you're wanting to change so someone will like you, DON'T! If you're wanting to change so you will like yourself better, then there are plenty of self help books and counseling to help you. Good luck dear.

Many times to tell you the truth. We're always adapting to changes; moving, new jobs, relationships. And we're always learning. Its just that people don't realize that they are making important changes in the way they think & behave.
But you mean conscious change don't you? I decided not to sleep around anymore (that was a major change for me). Another major change was a decision to go to church at least 3 Sundays a month which I also considered to be a major change ('cuz I'm lazy & hate getting up early). I decided to become a volunteer.
I decided to stop swearing, giving opinions to others if I'm not asked, to stop talking so much & to listen more.
I didn't make all these changes at once but over a period of years. I still have a long way to go.

yes, when i discovered that my now ex boyfriend was molesting and beating my 2 year old son. I decided right then and there that I had to be a stronger woman than ever before. I kicked his ***, moved out, had him arrested, he lost his job, his kids, his house...I felt better, but my baby took 3 years to get over it. He still tells me new things every once in a while....

Having my children made me change. I never worried about anyone but myself until my wife and I had our two children. It was a definite change in my lifestyle.
