I like it, because it gives other regular people a chance
to be on tv, instead of same movie stars being on tv all the time.

if you from my era its best to stay away from it 1970 products is probly the best era any could be in or at one time ? its my belief the spit you see on T.V. TODAY is nerd garbage not fit for whatever . IT sucks period? i watch national G. animal planet some movies NOVA . any thing thats real and not . theres greed and filthy T.V. ever since the planet was up for grabs the normal people were given an alternative either join the sickness going around or become the sick person who didnt join the illness that was the new way of the world . i rather eat s--t then agree to excepting what you see on T.V. today hold your grounds or illness will come upon you.

I hate it too and refuse to watch. It truly is NOT reality. It is all staged and scripted for tv. Reality would actually be too boring to show so they add all the crazy bs into it.

No. I've always hated it myself. It's far from reality and certainly not good TV. Networks love it because they're cheap and fast to produce (no big name talent, no big sets to build, etc.) and the vast wave of idiots love it because it seems so much more "genuine" than other programs, and often recruits from the ranks of impressionable yokels who want fame and $$$$.
I'll stick to the old Star Trek reruns and Adult Swim lineup on Cartoon Network, myself.

I *was* with you until BOTH my husband and I got hooked on Project RUnway. We decided it was because it really was more about talent and creativity than stabbing others in the back, as most reality shows seem to be.

No. I believe that you have lots of company, including myself. Unfortunately, those shows are fairly cheap to make, so as long as they have an audience, there will most likely be an abundant supply. Besides, it doesn't require a great deal of thought or imagination to put groups of strangers together and let them make fools of themselves. They will inevitably reduce themselves to the lowest common denominator.

Nope, I'm with you. I hate it. It seems the television networks have gotten very lazy. And the "contestants" they get are beyond pathetic.
