I am about to turn 22, have no serious man in my life and just recently began having strong feelings that i want to be pregnant and raise a child. Is it normal to feel this way this young? none of my friends are having kids or any such thing. it is truly out of the blue. what is going on here? does anyone out there understand where i am coming from?

I began feeling that way early, too. I think I was about 18, though. I waited until I had a wonderful husband to help me raise my children, and I'm so happy I did. Now, at 28, I have three beautiful children that I am able to raise without worrying about finishing college, getting married, buying a house, etc. Wait until you are settled and in a relationship. You'll be much happier in the end. I know it's not the same, but you could try getting a little puppy or something to nurture. Good luck with your decision.

I started getting that feeling when I was 19, but I waited and got a kitten. I then met my fiance at college, and now we have a little girl, and I am 22. Don't surpress your feelings, but do wait until you are in a stable relationship before stepping on the parental rollercoster! It definately takes 2.
I hope you meet your match soon!
x Good Luck!
Oh, and if you do meet someone, be honest with them, tell them what you are feeling. I was upfront from the beginning and we are so happy now!

I'm 23 and I'm totally feeling that way. I'm married and could support a child, but my husband isn't ready so we're waiting. But I know what you mean. It hit me last fall that I really wanted to have a baby. None of my other friends are wanting a child at this point yet (married or not). I guess we're just early.
