Don't worry, I suck too. I don't like having to concentrate on what moves my opponent can make or what moves I can make or memorizing tricks and whatnot.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a dumb blond or stupid, I just don't want to have to focus on something insignificant like a board game...plus, I'm afraid my mind might shut down or something if I concentrate too hard.

Most people aren't good at something until they practice for a while. If you really want to get better keep playing & read up on checkers moves & strategy. This is a good site to do that www.netintellgames.com/checkers.htm

You probably have not had a lot of practice. It comes with time. Why don't you play online for a bit? Start at a beginner level and work your way up? (I have gotten back into euchre that way and have had a lot of fun in the process). Good luck!!

I really hate checkers, it's such a boring game!
well, if you have to play it, you have to practice.
watch out for your opponent doing the double jump, triple jump combos. ugh.
