and does anyone have a source or link where I could see how I stack up? and I was wondering how it differs by race as well.

Some of this depends on your age, gender and goals. I am a 49 year-old basketball coach and I know that, last I checked, my vertical reach is to 8 feet (my height is 6'5) and I can get my knuckles to the rim, which is about 25 inches. I know that that is not that great and is one of the reasons I never became a star at the game.
The elementary kids I teach in PE are below 10 inches as a rule. Incredible basketball players can get into the 30's and 40's, especially the below-six footers who can dunk.
It is possible that a periodical called Research Quarterly may have an online index that could provide answers in greater detail.

take a physical test...
ask ur doctor about stereroids
... maybe pratice jumping
and if ur black

u got mad hops... just got to get to the age where u inherit it
