Either the BBC or KEXP from Washington state (excellent alternative programming). You can listen to both stations online. If you like oddball stuff try WFMU online, from NJ.

WNGZ 105 in Elmira, New York, they play classic rock and heavy metal, but right now they are playing annoying Christmas music.

Don't laugh but LBC. 93.7, i think. From 7am until12 noon, James Obrien is a cracker! it is absolutely hilarious, trust me!
Then 105.4, Smooth fm, followed by Capital fm.
