Yes it is possible but it would take a lot of work to do it right. You could possibly get a frame off of a newer SS Silverado and put under your camaro since some of them are all wheel drive. It would be pretty bad if you could do that. It would make a really good winter project.

Nope, there's a lot of re-engineering needed to make this work right. Many things will have to be custom made including the electronics. Save this stunt for someone with deep pockets and buy a vehicle that better serves your needs. All wheel drive is great when it works; but expensive as heck to fix and maintain.

Anything can be done with enough cash. There used to be a Ford Torino and a Chevy El Camino running around my neighborhood. Both had been converted to all wheel drive.

To put simply,NO! You got strut towers and a unibody constructed vehicle It would be to your advantage(and pocketbook) not to even try. If ya can afford it just get a Bravada or a Blazer with 4wd. Sorry ,but that is the truth

Sadly it would be very time consuming and cost thousands of dollars as an entire powertrain would have to be modified to fit your vehicle.
If your looking for better handling and performance you could try upgrading what you have with new equipment like new struts/shocks/springs to help keep the wheels in contact with the road Monroe has a good product at a good price:
http://www.monroe.com/products/mp_category.asp?cat=Sensa-Trac
A good set of tires helps maintain traction(i dont know what size tires you have but you can select them at this site::
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=Z&startIndex=0&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&search=true&vehicleSearch=true&sortValue=18&dg=true&sortCode=45400&width=215%2F&ratio=60&diameter=16&minLoad=S&loadRank=2&manufacturer=Avon&manufacturer=BFGoodrich&manufacturer=Bridgestone&manufacturer=Continental&manufacturer=Dunlop&manufacturer=Firestone&manufacturer=Fuzion&manufacturer=General&manufacturer=Goodyear&manufacturer=Hankook&manufacturer=Kumho&manufacturer=Michelin&manufacturer=Pirelli&manufacturer=Sumitomo&manufacturer=Uniroyal&manufacturer=Yokohama&speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=Z&performance=UHPAS&performance=HPAS
And a limited slip differential will help quite a bit:

If winter driving is your concern place some bags of tube sand inside the trunk and consider using Bridgestone Blizzak tires on all 4 wheels or a set of 4 studded snow tires if they are legal in your area
