I personally don't like wearing expensive brand clothes, cuz people who can't buy them feel bad.. and my city is especially poor :(.
But there r lots of people who LOVE showing off their clothing.

honestly it's horrible how so many people pay so much stuff for a pair of boots (South Pole, Pepe Jeans..) when they can go straight to a wal mart or a thrift store and buy basically the same thing for cheaper.
It shouldn't have to be all about what brands you wear, that's just another stereotype out there.I think that I own maybe 4-5 brand name items...and I'm 15.
7th graders really shouldn't care about those types of clothes anyway, half the stuff people buy for like $50 it doesn't cover anything. Why pay $170 for a pair of boots you wouldn't want to get dirty?

I have some pretty expensive clothes but they're not the kind that have the brand name printed really prominently on the front or anything. There are certain items of clothing that I just prefer to spend more money on because I want great quality and a better fit than inexpensive brands can offer.
For example, I buy all my 'going-out' tops at Forever 21 or Ross because they have great cute, trendy shirts for really cheap- so if they get a drink spilled on them or fray in the wash, it's not the end of the world. However, I prefer to spend a bit more money on jeans because I wear them on a daily basis and want them to last for a long time and fit perfectly. I also spend more money on nice handbags and outwear (coats, blazers, etc.)
For me, expensive clothes aren't about showing off, they're an investment that makes me feel and look good!

where i live everyone poor rich wears the same kind of clothes and even if u dont ur not neccesarily judged by it, and the most popular brand around r town is south pole which they sell in jc penneys kohls peebles and alot of places jc penneys has alot of sales on it and u can find it for really cheap a jacket for 20 dollars a shirt for ten exc so everyone has atleast 1 thing from it plus noone really cares where you get the clothes from if there cute u get a compliment and if there not big deal everyone just gos on with there life

I don't wear stylish clothes...but I am a bohemian type of person..I think the reason why folks wear popular brands of clothes is to show they are someone special and they have the bucks...that don't get it....What is in the heart is what is the most important

Clothing does not make you popular- in our school its the atheletic people, cheerleaders, rich people that are popular and of course they wear AE, name brand and designer. How i know clothing does not make you popular- I wear AE , name brand AND designer, i wear it cause i like it, not because i feel the need too just because everyone else does, i am not popular at all. byyyye.

I am not like that. I have never been impressed with name tags, I am impressed by the fit. Rarely can I find pants long enough in most retail store, I do better at discount places like Ross or Marshalls because the smaller sizes with really long legs don't sell much at dept. stores......Though if I ever find a pair a jeans I just love and fit great....I don't care what the cost....

i only have brand name clothing and i dont brag or make people feel bad. I'm just a style freak and I can only find stylish clothes from brand names because they fit me better than unbranded clothes.

well i hate abercrombie and hollister all other brands are fine its just that those brands all there clothes are practiacly the same and on every shirt they have it says " HOLLISTER" or " ABERCROMBIE" its just so anooying but if u get a shirt from lets say forever21 there name is just on the tag ( and there popular and expesnsive)
but ppl like wearing tme because then they can say i shop at hollister and abercrombie and u shop at walmart ewww walmart and they fell good when they buy those clothes but me im independent i wear good cheap clothes from other stores then abercrombie and hollsiter!

I wear name brand clothes, but I don't brag about it. That's the only way it would make someone feel bad is if you bragged about it, not for just innocently wearing it.

I think wearing brand name clothing is free advertisement for the brand. You could get very similar clothes, just cheaper.
