Should dogs marry before sex? We humans were animals, and we used to have sex with anybody we see, naturally, and now catholics made "No sex before marriage", its silly, you dont see horses getting married, we are no different, sex is reproduction, its silly how modern we have become, i dont think god cares if we have sex outside marriage.

Hi there, Okay so basically, I'm in the same boat as you. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with sex before marriage in the right situations. Like yours for instance. Maybe consider waiting a little bit longer to have sex, but if you feel ready, then go for it. You sound responsible and have taken all necessary steps to be safe, so kudos to you. On a side not, DO NOT HAVE HIM PULL OUT. Me and my boyfriend have been researching safe sex (we both are 17 and still virgins, planning to change that on 2 yr anniversary) and sites say that if you are on the pill, he has a condom, then don't have him pull out for two reasons. 1- the condom is more likely to slip off 2- it takes away some of the pleasure. So good luck, have fun, hope this helps! =D

Nothing's wrong with sex, as long as it's consensual and doesn't result in diseases or unwanted pregnancy.

But the rest of your paragraph is silly.

All human cultures have marriage; it's not just Catholics (nor is it just Catholics that disapprove of sex outside of marriage).

Horses and dogs and other animals don't have the social constructs to have marriage -- though many critters mate for life.

Marriage is as much about the blending or joining of two previously distinct families (all the in-laws are now related to each other), as it is about the couple marrying.

People have long mated, they didn't used to sleep with anyone they saw.

Your basic point that a lot of people are silly and puritanical about sex was fine, but you haven't really thought the rest of it through.

Here's my two cents. I know I will draw some heat from it, but damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead! I consider myself a non-denominational Christian. I am also a typical single guy in my mid twenties who thinks about sex all the damn time and loves having it. To me, pre-marital sex is in of itself not nessicarily a bad thing so long as its between two responsible adults who really care for one another. It only goes afoul when people go be promiscious, doesn't safeguard their own health, orbrings an unplanned child into the world. Regardless of what people might think, sex really is a joining of two people into one and there is a bond formed. God knew this and wanted to ensure that there was first and foremost love in the relationship along with a commitment to one another. Overall, marriage from the get-go was nothing more than a glorified legal agreement drawn up to unite mostly families of money and power, i.e. the concept of marriage is man-made. It's what's in the heart is what really matters.

First of all, you're not God, so let's not assume he (if you believe that he exists) will care whether or not we humans have sex outside of marriage.
Second, we are far more superior than dogs. Since, you brought up the topic of God, I'm going to assume that you believe in him. It states in the Bible that we were made to rule over all the other animals.
Third, your opinion on no sex before marriage and catholics opinions are just OPINIONS and MORALS. Their have different priorities than you do, so don't go hatin' on them. Be appreciatin' because some people out there really regret having sex before marriage.

Will you have sex with your brother/sister, father/mother, son/daughter.
In about 100 years this will be common.
Whats wrong with that?
These are just values. We love to change our values and traditions.
Remember about 100 years ago nobody could ever think of sex before marriage.

Nothing at all. If you want to do you have every right to do. It is a human desire and need. God made us the way He made us. With that desire and need. What you do in your bedroom is your business not anybody else's. Certainly not the rest of the world!

I want to wait till marriage because everyone says that they regretted sex before marriage but it's not like I look down on people who don't wait.

Oh I think the logic is quite simple: don't have children unless you have people who are committed to taking the responsibility of caring for them. In biblical times there was no contraception, remember. So bringing children in to this world without taking responsibility to raise them is still a bad idea, other than that, go nuts!

lol, why wouldn't you wanna get married to someone u havin' sex wit? i mean, i sure hope you love the person u havin' sex with. so why not get married? oh, i see, you don't want to be committed to one person. you rather have more freedom so u can sleep with more people. that's just sick! and the "catholics" didn't "make" that rule. GOD DID!!!!! DUR!!!!!!!!

A man or woman who loves God will not have sex with his / her sweetheart before marriage. It shows God that the man puts God first in his life, not his physical wants or the physical wants of his woman.

No sex before marriage is one aspect of being obedient to God

It is just difficult for us as human beings with souls, dreams and desires to not have sex before marriage. Not impossible, just difficult.

T.V./Radio/Movies/Music/Commericials all use sex to sell things and to influence us. .

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE (EVEN THE GRINCHES!)
