I have learned by now in this life that nothing is unusual. A man can commit himself to a recent divorcee for love, for money or both the love of money. The process requires that he has sex also.

I find it hard for a divorcee to want to commit so soon...what financial gain can you get from someone who is newly divorced_

i agree that you should tell her that is the motivation behind your so-called commitment. i don't think you are committed to her, i think you just want to slide the easy way and are taking advantage of her broken heart.
guys do this all the time. so you are not unusual, but in my book, i would be awfully suspicious if i were in her shoes.
why don't you just be a MAN and gain your finances on your own? then share them with her. that is the test. test yourself.

Sounds selfish to me. A rebound may get you in the long run. Watch out!
