Yes it is very normal. The baby has ran out of room to move! He's ready to reveal his/her identity! I'm 40 weeks pregnant and I feel the same way. The hardest part that I have is sleeping at night.

So your baby is about ready to be born. At this stage it is quite normal for them to not move very much. Our little grandson was born well and healthy a few weeks ago and he didn't move around much in the last couple of weeks. And it is certainly normal for you to feel tired. You are carrying around all that extra weight and you probably haven't been able to breathe well or sleep well for a few weeks. Are you having regular check ups? I would think at this stage you are seeing someone at least once a week? If you are worried at all go to an ER or call your doctor or midwife so you can talk to a real person who can advise you better. How about your mom or mother-in-law or some other woman close to you? In any case, touch base with someone who can give you more direct advice. Best of luck. Sounds like you might have a Christmas baby. Take care of yourself and call someone who can help if you are worried.

It can be normal but the baby should be moving more than just a couple times a day. Go to the doctor and get it checked out ASAP. The tiredness is normal though.

Woo hoo! Sounds like you need to sleep because baby will be here in no time! If you are tired, sleep because I have not had a solid night of sleep in over 12 months! Trust me, go to bed, you will be a new mummy in no time!
Good Luck!!!
Oh, and the baby doesn't have much room now, so don't worry about the movement thing, it's cramped up in there now!

Since you're 40 weeks, you're about to deliver and the baby probably doesn't have a whole lot of room to move around, to be safe side I'd check in with your doctor...have a stress test done.

yes, it's a sign that you'll be going into labor sometime soon. when the baby stops moving so much, and seems to be "sleeping" most of the time, then he's good to go...
and you being very tired is a sign that you need to get some rest because labor is hard work.
congrats and good luck!
maybe you'll have the new year baby...

40 weeks? Well, pretty much you've maxed out on the weight you should be carrying, so being tired is perfectly natural.
And the baby has pretty much occupied all the space in his or her current apartment... needs to move out soon, you know?
If I'm in a cramped space, I generally don't move around much either...
I would check with your ob/gyn just to reduce any anxiety you might have...
Best wishes for you and your baby.

Yes, it's normal. Baby is getting big, and she's squished in there! It's harder for her to move now.
However, you're the mommy and you've got super powers when it comes to knowing something's wrong. Go to the doctor if you feel like something is off.

I have heard this can be a sign that labor is on the way. That the baby needs to "rest up" before the big event. You should rest up too! Do it while you can. Good luck!
