I just got my rubber bands on, and I'm curious, when y'all first got rubber bands on, how long was it untill you got your braces off?

It depends so ask your orthodontist. My friend has had rubberbands for a couple of months and she still has two years!

For me the day I was suppose to get my rubber bands they decided to put my braces on instead so I got my braces unexpectedly.
Wearing your braces for the first week are going to be a b*tch because everything you eat hurts your teeth so stick to as much liquids as possible.
I wore my braces for about 2 years and then I got a removable retainer for my upper teeth and a permanent one for my lower teeth.

I had my braces for nearly 3 years... bad overbite and I was really young so my mouth was changing which required me to have them longer. For the bands on the sides though, I believe I only had those for maybe 6 months near the end.

A little less than 2 years. My ortho said that my teeth were the worst he had ever seen and it only took 2 years for me all together. The bands might hurt a bit when you first get them, but your gums get used to them and having your bands changed every month won't hurt.

i only had braces on for like 2 years overall, so the bands were only on for like 6 months. i barely wore the bands too, but im not recommending it either. good luck!

for me when i had braces the first time it was less than 6months now i have braces agian and it been like 4mothns i get them off next year like feb or march 07 .good luck

i personally haven't ever had 2 have braces but me friend has 2 have hers 4 only 2 more monthes and shes had her bands 4 about

4 me it was 2 years. But it varies with every person, depending on their problem.
