I wish the England teams could find more spirit when playing other teams. For instance Australia, Scotland, Wales, etc. are always 'up for it' when playing against them whilst England always appear as though it is just another game.

Because we were once the Masters of the Known Universe, and now we are not. All foreign nations actually cling to that a lot more than we do! You must appreciate though, we are shining examples of fair play and how that wins you nothing!

I think we have a distorted view of it to be honest - imagine for example, if you are the Brazilian football team!!
And I wholeheartedly disagree (sorry boogaloo!) that England is rubbish at all sports.....we are very good at many sports, but people expect too much - we cant be the best at everything, or even the best at anything, we have the whole world to compete with, but we do have a number of world champions in many sports! Agree that the media in the UK doesnt help - but it is just as bad in other countries (ie Australia for their sports teams)

Unfortunately the english media hype up things so much the teams can never live up to what a nation expects
plus there is an air of arrogance, especially with the rugby and football teams

possibly (especially where the home nations are concerned) it might be because they have not and never will win jack.
We have won world cups , oh so have scotland ...was it curling or crown green bowling or something? i believe its called simply sour grapes
And arrogance? i give you brazilian football, aus and nz rugby, american olympic teams the list is endless
Im sorry but if you are good at something you cant win,if you are loud you are arrogant if you are quiet you are um...arrogant.
In any of the sports we have done well in no one disrespects the other home nations , its in their stupid xenophobic heads.
England doesnt use the rest of the uk for a springboard shame they have to.
