The time of Jesus. To see what his life was really about, to study;
"WHY" for all of life's questions.
Or back to the time of Muhammad to found out why his version of the Bible results in such violence today.
It would be more interesting to get Muhammad on my way back to Jesus, for Muhammad to better understand what and how to write his version of the Bible (Koran).

I love history. As a matter of fact, that was the Second Major of mine in college. And, having studied all that, I have so many times and places I'd love to go back and see, a lot of them being wars, most especially VietNam, WWI, WWII, Korea, the Germans against Russia in WWII at the battles of Moscow and Stalingrad which were so devastating, and to be in the trenches in WWI, most of all, the VietNam war. Having said all that, and having read the other answers you've been given however, I think lurmongo's got the absolute best answer. When I was 16, I was so full of life, and so full of doubts, and I'd love to just go back and talk to that young man and tell him everything's going to be okay, and warn him about some situations he's going to come upon in the years ahead, and educate him on why he needed to choose one way over the other. But, that's all been done now, and now I'm just a middle aged old man with a lot of regrets, full of wishes of how I might have done things differently, and subsequently better. And even though my life is full of wonderful things, it's my desire to do better that makes me want to go back and have a "do over" on the things that came up where I made the wrong decision, and be able to make them better. But, God, being what He is, will make the most of the messes I have made. I just wish I hadn't made the messes for Him to clean up, and for others to have suffered. God Bless you.

I would go back and visit my self when I was 16, give myself a big hug and tell myself that this was the best time of my life and that I should really appreciate it, and care for all the people around me wich I loved. And yeah, warn my self about all the stupid things I was going to confront in the future.

I would go back to 1906 when my great-grandma and her mom and dad took her (at 6 months old) on a ship and left Norway and came to the United States of Americal! Because my great-grandma almost died and almost had to be buried at sea, and she lived to be 99 years old, but sadly she past away earlier this year.
