Can anyone come up with a true answer? Why do some people call certain politicians 666?

The meaning within the political Arena is a very complex answer, it would require many hours of comprehensive research, and even then it is doubtful that anyone would accept the true meaning!!

666, sometimes called "The number of the beast" refers to Satan. There are some people around the world, usually dictators and Islamic fascists who accuse President George W. Bush of being Satan. Even some lift wing liberals in the United States use that kind of rhetoric to describe Bush. It is clearly not true, but that doesn't stop people from saying it.

For those of you who DON'T know what 666 stands for, it is written in the bible that it is the mark of Satan. I don't know what it means in the political arena, but many who don't like certain politicians call them devils. One of the most recent events is Huga Chavez from Venezuela calling George Bush the "Devil" in front of the members of the United Nations.

666 is the mark of the beast aka the antichrist in the bible he is a politian who will bring peace 4 a short time and fool most people of the world who dont no the word of jesus christ BOTTOM LINE.........he goes to hell to suffer 4ever with his master SATAN 666 will be his number without this number on your right hand or on your 4head you wont be able to buy sell or trade

the number 666 talks about the mark of beast in the end times and if you don't take the mark of beast you will beheaded but then you will end up in hell if you take the mark of beast. the number 666 talks about satan and the mark of beast. the mark of beast is going to be either on your hand or on your forhead it will be a code standing for satans code, when this happens it will be end times we see every year it get closer and closer to the end times. be be prepare for him at all times, but do not take the mark of beast cause you would be deny Christ. the 666 stands for satan in the bible or the drangon when this happens you will not be able to work or go to the store or anything cause you don't have the mark of beast. why worry about something we can't control.

I think it would mean more in the religious arena, because it is the number of the Beast. Presumably it denotes dissatisfaction with a politician if used in this arena.

If you want the christian vote, you must pander to the typically extremist point of view of fundamentalist christians. Most politicians could care less about the christian agenda, but they want the vote, so they'll champion the typically inflammatory issues, like abortion and gay marriage.
Mostly it's issues that don't affect big business or the economic needs of the masses.
