If someone dies after ordering stuff on the internet then dies. Should I sign the UPS or send it back. You can clearly tell who the x-mas present was for. Would there be anything bad legally that would happen to me?

Give it to the person it was meant for. Can you imagine how meaningful that gift will become?

Ask UPS. otherwise sign for the package. It can be opened and sent back to the vendor for a refund.

I think you should sign for it and give the package to whoever it was meant for. If you do that, you will be fine, both legally and morally.

it would have already been paid for most likely, I would sign for it and allow who ever is taking care of the estate handle it.

If you didn't order it, you should not sign for it. You may get charaged. the ups man should just take it back.
