Jogging isn't bad for you, but it can be bad for your muscle gains. Your body burns carb energy more readily but burns muscle and fat less selectively. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is the best method for burning fat and retaining muscle.

this is a little unreliable, but i have heard that running for over 30 minutes starts to kill muscle. so even if that is a little off, 3 miles is a lot of running for a body builder. I would say eat well afterwards for sure. Make a good protein shake or something.

As long as you are still working out it should be fine. If you only ran, then it would only tone the muscles and not bulk them out. I doubt most body builders run even 1 mile everyday.

if running too much is bad then why do people run 20+ mile marathons? you have to train your legs to get used to the running run everyday each day running a little more if you do that well enough you will get used to running more than 3 miles, for you 3 miles will be just a warmup jog. my friend competes in mixed martial arts competitions all over the US and to prepare one of the things he does everyday is run like 10 miles or so that is his warmup before he hits the gym to train. goodluck.

I would say yes, but it depends what your goals are. If you're trying to increase your body mass you shouldn't be doing very much cardio. You don't want to burn off all of the calories that should be going to repairing your muscles.

run... a lot... 3-4 kms a day, atleast... also, eat healthy, or youll grow weak. consult your family doctor to make an exclusive diet chart, follow it! your upper body strength will be required very late in the game, for now, train ur thigh and calf muscles in the gym... and walking helps too... walk as much as you can, swimming is another good habit, and cycling; they really help to increase ur stamina... best of luck...

It will make you very fit and healthy but for building muscle you need bulk and it's lost during long cardio workouts.
