Ipod Trouble?

I bought the songs for iTunes, but when I import them onto my ipod, it says that I'm not authorized to play these songs on my computer. What does this mean and how can i download the songs onto my ipod?

find out who's computer that the item is authorized to be on and have them type in their password on that pop up window (the one that tells you these files arent authorized on this computer would you like to authorize them and if you say yes it asks for the other persons password.) and then you'd be able to sync it to your ipod because it's now authorized to play on your comp.
it's a copyright thing.
