Yes...farming is a very tough job. For something real brief and fast...a farmer wakes up early and works 10+ hours per day...7 days per wk with no vacation or holidays off each year...unless they hire someone to work the farm. The weather has a lot to do with crop growth too...if it's too dry of a summer you won't yield a good harvest unless you run a irrigation system. Then if you just planted 25 acers of corn then 3 days later you get a flood...then all the seeds could be washed away. Farming does have it's benefits in the sense that your, your own boss. You get to have a love for nature in general as well as a love for animals. Before getting into farm work, maybe you could work on one for a few months to see if you'll like it. Where I live about 25 miles away there's a mountain lion sancuary which might be better for you. I left the website for you below.

Speaking from experience, it is tough but not always poor. That just depends on what type of farm you have and what you start out with. It is a lot of hard work and if I were you I would find someone who would allow you to come out and see what farm living and life is all about before you make that leap. You will find that most country folk are very proud people and are willing to help out just about anyone and they will tell you the truth even when you don't want to hear it.

Very hard work, long hours, days begin very early and it is very dependent upon the weather. Have a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year! God bless****
