I know that in the US, our stereotype of a British man is one who's very effeminate. Drinks a lot of tea -girly- and has a delicate sounding accent -also girly- and girly man=gay to the mass mind. Thus, many Americans think British men are gay.

May be because they speak proper English and not what you call English.
The two don't compare.
You use slang all the time and sad to say the British in the cities are going to do the same
Maybe proper English is seen an act of being gay:far from that:they just have good manors, that's it,

LOL! properly, Britain is so lots greater tolerant than many international locations whilst it includes homosexuality. Homophobia is so unacceptable that even on precise-wing newspapers like the on a regular basis Heil (Mail), prejudiced comments approximately Stephen Gately indignant its own readers. So there is in all threat not greater gay men - that is basically that greater gay men are soft approximately popping out whilst in comparison with different international locations. You generalise and exaggerate like loopy. enormous Brother intentionally chooses the craziest gay human beings obtainable for controversy. and a brilliant form of them are basically faking it for attractiveness, because of the fact they be attentive to a brilliant form of girls human beings and gay men watch BB. Jason from BB5 admitted he pretended to be bi for that reason. P.S. it somewhat is a fable that Freddie Mercury became gay. He became bisexual.

Because they "dare" to have a sense of style. American's just wear what we "have to," to get by. ALOT live in small towns of 2-3,000 people and don't have much choice or chance for high end or other shopping unless its by catalog (and now internet!). So, sometimes its all about availability.

I've never heard that. In America everyone thinks they have a cool accent. Even in the deep south where we have our own unique way of talking. We have had British who laughed at us and we laughed at them. It was like two foreign languages trying to understand each other. I like them.

It is because they are all dumb and have a homosexual fantasy and are thinking about a gay James Bond or something. Probably because Brits are portrayed as being so proper and gentlemanish. We are dumb *** United States folks anyways. We are all a bunch of rubberneckers.

In their respective countries, perhaps "gay" means chivalrous? I thought that was what we were known for.
