Only if they are honest, and then not as deeply as actually meeting someone and talking to them in person. If I say "I hate you" am I kidding or do I really mean it? And how do you know if I'm not throwing in an inflection that makes it clear that I don't hate you? The internet is vast, but it still has its limits.

Nope- but something like this can serve a purpose for a time... and be OK... Everyone needs a laugh sometimes, which is why I've been coming around here lately. You're absolutely right... I wouldn't take it any further!

You'll only know what they want you to believe. What they want you to believe could be total bull. There are lots of people out there who use the internet to create some new persona, for good or bad... either way... you don't know them.

Not know them, know them but by some of the questions and responses that are given you may have a tendacy to know somewhat of there personalities and their likes and dislikes.

nope! i met people in real life that i knew online for a loong time, the only thing the same was how they thought about things!!!

if you talk to that person alot then yes. a few people ive felt that about. my one friend when i then met her in person was just like she was on the internet. (by the way the person i met was a someone my friend met so it wasnt gonna be something dangerous)

Absolutely not... I don't trust most people on here... no offense. But after seeing what kind of people are out there. It absolutely creeps me out!

thats very true, but in some ways i think ppl feel more comfortable to be themselves on here than in real life too
