maybe thats really not what you want at all. You shouldnt be concerned with whats supposed to make you happy. What will make YOU happy? What did you do in the past that you dont do now or what did you have then that you dont have now. Compare and maybe you'll find out whats wrong.

Perhaps you have worked so hard and achieved so much that you flew by the world like a comet. It's cold out there in space and very lonely, I'm sure. Being way up there no one can touch you. Maybe you have made yourself into an image that you do not see when you look into the mirror of your mind. Was the past, that you wrote about, when you were a child? That must be it! You may have isolated yourself in order to become successful and you long for that life and those companionships you had like when you were a child. Maybe its time to address your inner child. Tonight, Instead of seeking a philosopher, why not watch a movie about not growing up, like Hook. Now chin up!

Usually the journey to get all of this this success is the happy part.
Though that time you felt hard and difficult to achieve things but it's actually challenge you, make your life have purpose to pursue.Since you now already have it all, you feel like you don't have anything more to pursue.
So, usually in this peak point you would realize to seek something more valuable and eternal not temporary which can not wash away by times. Some people answer this question with doing charity, helping people, and religions.
You have to seek your own.

I also long for the past because my past was so adventurous. I was able to study in England and visit the rest of Europe with my Mother. My Mother died last February so that is another reason I long for the past, especially since she was my best friend. My mother helped me get through school and become the professional that I am today. At the present time, I feel as though I can't pursue a dream anymore because I have committments that I must abide by.

Nobody has everything, not even millionaires or Kings. We want a lot of things (even those that we did not want before) there is no way we can have them all, therefore we can not always be happy or satisfied. You long for the past because you can never have it back.

Awe hon, that's so sad. Its true you have to Love yourself and be happy without having to have those things. Those things are just additives to your happiness. Anyway it sounds like your at least content with your life. Give it time, at some point it will change. I didn't see baby maybe an option maybe not.

If you long for the past, its normal. You may have everything you THINK you've always wanted... but something/someone may have eluded you.
