That's a really good question - a lot of the women I've been with had two odd traits during their period... they were much more sensitive to touch on their breasts and nipples and they were much much hornier...
I'm guessing this has something to do with the monthly hormonal cycle that women go through... somehow the changes in the hormones during menstruation cause greater sensitivity to a woman' erotic zones.
Assuming the extra sensitivity applies to the genitals - that might explain the ladies I've been with being extra horny during that time of the month...

Producing more estrogen, it makes us oversensitive.
