so anyways i really love my horse hes 21 this year and very old i use a pair of spuras when i ride him but refuse to use them on any other horse ....is it wierd i want to burry one spur with him and keep one for memories???

No that's not weird. Horses are very intelligent animals and caring for their owners... it's normal to feel attached to him and want to share some thing special between you two.

Not wierd at all. My cousin had her horse put down after he had been diagnosed with some bone disorder that made him horribly lame and in constant pain. Just before she burried him, she cut a hunk of tail hair and tied it with a ribbon that she won at a show with him. She also burried his saddle blanket with him and planted a tree on his grave.

Yeah Like a horse would really like spurs. I just bet a spur is just what your horse would choose to go through eternity with. What would you like to be buried with a Cat O Nine Tails?

no keeping a memory of a loved animal is not wierd nor is buring him with other one. i would do the same thing when i have a pet die me i bury them get a big rock and put their name on it and i put flowers once a week

I dont think it's weird. Most people have something that has to do with their pet to remember them when they pass on. For instance; if someones dog passes on, then they might keep a collar from the dog. So I dont think it's weird.
