if a crime is committed, wouldyou rather take whipping on the back, no shirt, or be sent to spend time in jail? i want your thoughts, comments, if you agree with it, how many lashes would be appropriate, how you think the punishment would go, where should the guy or girl be hit, what kind of whip, attire, etc, etc. ALOT of details will get you the best answer. thanks

ill take the whipping as long as it doesnt give me any permanent damage cause i had to spend timein jail for a couple of weeks when i was 21 (now 26) in cook county jail in chicago and it was only a county jail and it was the worst experience of my life i count fathem having to spend anytime in a prison w/ a bunch of hardened criminals so ill take the whipping cause at least ill be able to go home afterwards

A bit pessimistic and one sided but some of those overreactions are true to life, so it is also terribly sad. I wonder who has the most to fear from terrorism, more people die from other causes like; heart disease and car accidents than will ever die from terror acts and yet the government is pushing through all these civilian control laws and methods which will really ruin trust in society and freedom in the western world. If people came from the government and closed all the fast food restaurants we wouldn't stand for that violation of our liberties, even though it would save more lives and help the world more than cracking down on free speech and legal protections. The other day I found a NO STOPPING sign attached to a STOP sign, has the world gone crazy, are there just too many rules now that just don't make any sense? I don't feel any safer now, infact I think I feel less safe! What do you guys think?

how much jail time and how many whippings are we talking here? if im facing like a few years locked up, yeah ill take the whipping....but keep in mind, some people NEED to goto jail,( and im an exconvict) if nothing else to get them off the streets for a while... but you know, going to jail for most cons is like hooking up at a high school reunion, there are more eveil thing in prison that i care to mention here...id imagine ANY excon would take the whipping, it wouldnt be NEAR as bad as what their gonna face behind bars.... no lie.

Who covers the hospital bills? How long would I have to be in jail? If it is a short time in jail I would rather take the jail time. If it is a long time I would rather take the whip because it will heal. But for the whipping the person should be whipped in areas that would be relevant to the crime committed. If a person is found guilty of rape make the biatch spread his legs and whip him in the groin area and so on. But there will be no clothes be worn, the number of whips would be something that the lawyers would argue about during the trial.But all in all i would prolly take the whipping depending on the crime because I have a high pain tolerance.

Historically, those two punishments have been combined. You go to jail AND get whipped on the back.

it depends...if the whip would really hurt and there would be a lot of lashes i'd take jail. if it was just a few lashes i would be good with that
