Increase the fiber in your diet...eat more greens, raisins, fruits etc to help with the constipation...once that's out of the way the pain should stop...if you are concerned, call the doctor and just verify all is well...which I'm sure it is.

Good luck

If you mean cramps when you go to the bathroom yeah. Drink more water. No caffeine or caffeine or tea, The caffeine will make you pee out more liquid than you take in. Constipation is often a result of not enough water.

If you increase your water intake to a 6 to 8 12 ounce glass a day and you are still having trouble talk to your doctor there are meds yo Can take. Just don't let it go hemorrhoids often go along with pregnancy and your really don't want them!

Oh yes and add some fruit to your diet! Not bananas. They can be binding.

constipation is normal. As for the cramps... it depends on what kind of cramps. Doubled over in pain? I had cramps for the first month and then they tampered off. I am 14 weeks and rarely have them now. They felt like menstral cramps

Yes and no, it is normal for some pregnant women to get these symptoms. But it is not the case in all pregnancy's and you cannot expect to have the same symptoms as others.
There is no such thing as a normal pregnancy and I think comparing yourself to others could cause issues.
Just don't expect anything to be normal again and take one day at a time is my advise! Good Luck!

Eat lots of fruit as they say. If you can get pumpernicle bread [and at my great age I am not too sure of the spelling] a couple of slices of that a day with butter jam or whatever will get you going well!

It's normal, but if you are really concerned you should see your doctor. Drinking prune juice (watered down slightly, it tastes hideous) will help with constipation.
