Should we give what we can of ourselves only to those who deserve it? How can we judge? Please note that death is not the only way to lay down our lives-- sevice and generosity count too!

Give up the illusion that you exist separate an apart from God.
Give up the "Judge". "God dwells within you as you'", You have unity with God in unconditional love within your heart. As the colors of the rainbow are contained within sunlight, all things are contained within God. Humanities purpose is to awake to this reality. humanities supreme duty is to express this to the best of our ability. Give of your unconditional love, especially to those who may not deserve it, & to your enemies with the prayer that they too may experience Gods love. The more i give the more I receive. The less i am the more HE IS.

I see no need to ' sacrifice '. When one gives from the heart / soul, that which we exerted of ourselves to another is enlightened right back into us ( sort of like re-charging a cell phone after usage). To judge...no need for that...you 'give' of yourself because it feels right and you desire to. All 'deserve' to have a warm heart extended towards them . . . if what you shared is not received well by one who seems ' undeserving' ...what you shared towards that person has a tiny seed that sets in that person somewhere, somehow. Share what you choose, then just leave it be and move on your way, not expecting anything in return. There is no 'service and generosity' to ' count ', there is no 'scoreboard' being kept on the heart. You share because your heart awakens your desire to . . . end of story.

One of my favorite quotes by one of my favorite people:
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

I think what parents give there children could be seen as "sacrifice" I mean they do sort of give up their own lives to raise their children. They make alot of sacrifices. At least my parents did.

If someone asks you for help do it - don't think whether he/she deserves your help. If all doctors think the way you do, we all be dead. We all need a helping hand at some point in our lives - big or small.

Kindness goes a long way.
