How much do you think I could get for it? It is still a good computer and it works perfectly fine.

Depends on the specification of your computer.

But given that there's a lot of change in the industry now, what with moving from 32 to 64 bit, the hype around Windows Vista and new multi-core processors, I doubt you'd get very much at all for it. Barely in the three-figures if that. Of course, if you sell it with a monitor, keyboard etc. as a complete unit you'll get far more for it.

Hi usually after 3 years even if your computer is in excellent condition you will most likely get about 25-35% of what you paid.

If you bought your Dell about 3 years ago at let's say it was $1000 then you could get about $250-$350 max as of today. And the best place might be to sell it on ebay.com because there you can upload pictures, put descriptions, etc and a lot of people might be interested.

Every 3 years computer overall speed at least doubles or triples.
Remember that once a computer is used it loses at least 10% of its value already.

Best thing to do is go to ebay and search for people selling the same computer and see what they are getting for them. But without the specs, I could not guess.

Normally at three years, it will be about 1/3 of what you paid for it (if you include monitor, mouse and keyboard - if not, reduce that 1/3 price in half).

Depending on if you were sent the original restore discs, and how much of the machine is still intact, and if there have been any modifications or additions to the internal hardware, you could probably expect 85-300 dollars depending on the individual you sell it to.
