on a windows xp, i got a new asus motherboard and i am upgrading from an intel board. do i need to reload windows and start from scratch or can i just do a repair? PS merry chrismuhanaquanzika.

Neither. You just load the drivers with the CD that came with the new motherboard and let Windows discover all the new hardware. It will take a few restarts before everything is installed right.

well,as i heared from some people,you will have to download a new windows.
the problem is how to start your pc with a windows program that doesn't include your new motherboad setup files,almost it will not open to let u make a repair.
make a backup for setup files of all your programs,games and every thing yous use,then install again on your new windows system.(GOOD LUCK)

No. All you need to do is load the drivers for that motherboard onto your hard drive. Thats about the only drivers you have to load up.

yeah you can install the mobo with out
re-installation.
