For one, white "Hispanics" consider themselves European and they hate Amerindian and Black "Hispanics" with all their heart.

Two, most of us have NEVER been contaminated by not one single drop of European blood. I can trace my full-blood Amerindian lineage back to the early 17th century.

Three, we share NOTHING in common culturally. True, most Amerindian "Hispanics" can speak Spanish as well as our own languages, but we have never been to Spain and we refuse to be considered part of such a culture.

Is the term "Hispanic" a political tool to distance Native Americans south of the USA from their land? Because we have nothing to do with Spain, we're 100% Americans.

No it's a political rallying cry. I know the historic meaning is "ruled by Spain" Very few people in the Americas are ruled by Spain.

The important aspect is the unity of the raza unity of language and unity of the Church.

There is still a war of attrition between English speaking and Spanish speaking religious ideologies. Spain is winning mostly because the English speaking people have forgotten the war even exists.

As for Native Americans No one I have ever met Hates even slightly "Amerindian" people. You must live in a strange place if you are experiencing this.

I think you can blame the Richard Nixon administration. Seriously, Hispanics was a term used to make a political indentification of spanish speaking US citizens.
I have have seen some references to indiginous peoples of ABC or Central American Indians, but I think most media sources just do it because it is easier, and while you say there are differences, of course, I could also point out a number of issues where Cuban Americans, Native Mexicans, White Argentines, and Black Dominicans might be all working together. I would say a certain percentage of white US citizens understand there are many sub-groups of the "Hispanic" population.
Take care.

I agree with you. Look to their arrogance. They think they are the only ones that have the right to call themselfes Americans. This "Hispanic" thing is ridiculous, why Spanish-speaking people deserve to be labelled in a different group? What about Russian speaking? Chinese speaking? etc.

But remember hispanic of all races should be aware of what is their enemy:

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

If you are Native American, you are not Hispanic. Hispanic is a term devised of fantasy when 'Chicanos' in the US (previously considered to be white) demanded a cultural classification and affirmative action benefits. If they don't want to be Hispanic, they aren't.

As for you, if you are Native American, why would you be Hispanic?

However, if you are a Native from south of the United States, I don't believe you are considered a Native American, as we use that term, unless you are a member of that Arizona tribe that straddles the border.

YOU can call yourself whatever you like, but we consider 'Americans' to be citizens of the United States, and those who are native of a land not part of the United States are not, to us, Native Americans. Native North Americans, or Natives of the Americas, sure.

so you see racism is not just something we have in multi culture America, its alive and well among all people. What a peculiar rant this question is. Kind of reminds you of some of the stuff the Nazis did to disclaim any trace of Jewish blood. Whew!! My family has been in this country for three generations and I could not begin to do such a blood trace of my heritage. We are just Americans with no hypen in front of that. We are black, mexican, european, turk, etc in our blood line. Guess we are just Mongrol-Americans. We like that just fine.

The term "Hispanic," is often misused as it is derived from the word Hispanola (A region of the West Indies colonized by 16th Century Spain to include Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Puerto Rico, the Greater and Lesser Antilles, etc.) and is incorrectly used interchangeably by many when referring to Mexican Nationals, Mexican-Americans, Central Americans, Latin-Americans, and even South-Americans. Go figure.

However, most people are even more offended when you
describe multi-ethnic, or multi-cultural unions or marriages as, "contaminated."

The fact of the matter is there really are no pure "races," as you seem to think. I hate to be the one to burst your racist bubble......but you can't live in your cave forever.

Maybe you should ask why the Spanish are insulted when someone calls them hispanic. It's true! American Indians are different from Mexican Indians for a couple of reasons. One... American Indians are drunks in casinos and Mexican Indians are drunks picking fruit in California. Two... American Indians get two paychecks each month (casino and welfare), while the Mexican Indians only get one from the sweatshop us white folks have them working in.
