Spend some time around kids, not screaming ones but the funny ones. They do the funniest things.

I completely understand what it feels like to not be able to laugh. To be so depressed it seems that nothing will ever help. You can't see the end of it, there seems to be no way out. All of the suggestions given will give you a chuckle, but not true laughter. I am there right now, have been for the past three years. BUT for a short time (4 months) my friend needed help with her kids. I went to her house and watched her kids for that time and I had no time to be depressed. I was almost happy. I had these kids to take care of so I couldn't indulge my depression. I had to get up, had to cook, had to hang out with these kids. It really worked. Kids are funny and they give so much unconditional love, something you need when you are depressed. I thought I was better. Afterward I came home with a new outlook. Unfortunately it went away, but I make sure to see the kids as often as I can. They really do lift your spirits. I really do wish you luck with this. No one should ever have to feel that way!

Think about someone who is less fortunate than you, for instance, someone diagnosed with cancer or a child without a family that won't be able to enjoy Christmas like most of us are able to with food, family and gifts. Sometimes doing this can make your circumstances seem mild in comparison. Not to say that your situation is insignificant, but what I am saying is I used to feel similarly from time to time and now I realize that I was just being vain and somewhat self-centered. If this doesn't help, than try doing something really nice for someone else like volunteering your time to an organization that needs volunteers. If neither of these things help (or the suggestions made by other responders) than you should seek professional help.

Yup
Jump on your bed and listen to loud music.
Eat some chocolate(chocolate makes you happy) and watch a comedy movie.
Hang out with your friends or go shopping.
Bake food or watch TV.
Talk to people on the phone or take a walk to the park.
Take a joy ride!
Imagine a guy with no pants in a car then jumps out in a middle of eavy traffic and runs all the way towards exit and reachers burgerking with a bag on his head tying to arrest the mcdonalds manager for kicking him out of his car and then orders fishfries?
I CAN!
But im also wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Joyful New Year.
Hope things will be better for you and Take Care :]

There's two ways out. You can stay depressed and enjoy it, and there's no harm in that, go to bed and have a rest, feel free to not be so cheerful, listen to songs that fit your mood.
You can change your mood if you want to. Force yourself to smile or laugh, it releases happy chemicals. Think of funny memories. Have a dance or do some exercise. Do things that make you happy.

I would spend some time learning about what really happened on 9/11. It is not a happy subject but when you realize the cover up and the demolition job that happened you will feel more a sense of empowerment and anger towards the people who committed the largest crime of the century!

Think about what it would be like if instead of shaking hands to introduce ourselves...We locked at the elbows and skipped in circles like that Yugo-Czek-Russian...dance style. Never tried it, til now...That's funny.

Close your eyes and breath deeper and relax. Recall a time you laughed hysterically and try to imagine and feel as if you are there. Keep breathy deeply and fully immerse yourself in the great feeling and as you breath deeply and slowly come back to the present take that great feeling with you.
