Absolutely. Only I can't say its the store Santa variety.
There truly was a very caring individual named St. Nicholas who according to German lore left presents in the shoes of the children at the orphanages.
To bad the marketing experts have turned him into a sales gimmick.

yes! So much so that I named my daughter Nicole in honor of St. Nicolas. He was an actual person. A Bishop in Turkey who helped young women get a dowry so they could marry now other good works are done through him to bring joy to the world.
