Pets should be treated as family and dont just splash her down the loo. That is disrespectful, especially if you loved the fish. if you want you can, and it isn't stupid. im not sure about caskets, but find a good match box and put her in there, and maybe bury her in your own backyard, or your favourite place.

You must do what makes you happy. Lizzie was a living being and deserves respect. I don't think they make fish caskets and if they did they would price them way too high. Go to your local craft store, get a nice wooden box and decorate it, Or you can go to an import store and get a finished carved wooden box if you prefer something fancy. Get a little bit of colored velvet and line the box yourself.

There is nothing wrong with holding a funeral for your fish.
I'm not sure about fish caskets, but you can always make one. I make caskets for all my pets. A box will do, and you can draw on it or something else special.

It's not stupid..Some people get very emotionally tied with their fish. I don't know about putting it in a casket though, might get kind of gross, and i doubt they make them. I would just recomend a large kleenex box and dig it very deep in the yard or somewhere, because of cats.

Sniff, snifff, snif? Have any memorial you want and throw the fish in a lake or other body of water to symbolize freedom. Have a good holiday.

A pet is a family member. I don't know about fish caskets, but I feel sorry for your loss.

you dont want to wait around for the casket to arrive. go to a craft store and find a small box. then you can decorate the casket and bury it.

or you can give it the traditional "burial at sea" by flushing it down the toilet.

it's not stupid at all. about the fish caskets, you can always go to your nearest pet cemetery and ask them if they hold caskets for dead fish. i know my pet was a bit different. my dog (border collie) passed away early last yr, and instead of getting her cremated, we decided to hold a funeral for her at this pet cemetery. we didnt put her in a casket and instead wrapped her dead body in her favourite blanket and in her grave put her favourite ball and a couple of her toys in there, and we got her a tombstone. there were a lot of animals in the pet cemetery including cats, dogs, birds, horses, fish, mice, and others. i know my situation with my dog isnt the same thing with your fish, but pet cemetery's accept all kinds of pets

i suggest you put her in a little cardboard box. I have never heard of fish caskets.

its not really stupid if the fish meant a lot to you.

sorry about lizzie... : (
