Barack Obama is definitely a leader.Upon graduation from law school and passing the bar exam,he practiced law in the neighborhoods of Chicago.He went back to his roots before entering politics.When he talks people seem to listen.He attracts large crowds where ever he goes and is on the rise on the national scene.

That's a good question, but I can't think of anyone on a world scale, if you mean someone worthy of respect. The Clintons, maybe. They're both intelligent and have some integrity, and they seem to want what's good for people.
